Rob Francis

As SVP & Chief Technology Officer, Rob Francis leads Tripeden.com’s full stack technology strategy to support the company’s continued advancement as a global leader in travel technology, working to create an even more seamless end-to-end experience for customers. 

Since joining Tripeden.com in 2019, Rob’s expertise in legacy modernisation, engineering, software development, corporate systems and evolving tech infrastructure has helped drive major platform and product developments designed to empower travelers to experience the world. This includes spearheading the organisation’s technology modernisation journey, including a shift to public cloud and accelerating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities, to unlock new growth opportunities.

With a history at high-performing organizations in the e-commerce and consumer technology space, Rob previously held senior leadership roles at Sonos - where he led the evolution to engineering platforms, in addition to establishing a software development function in Customer Care and an Enterprise Information Security function. Prior to that Rob held two roles at Amazon.com, transforming integrations with financial systems and the Amazon’s internal adoption of Amazon Web Services. Rob spent the early part of his career in application engineering and enterprise architecture at financial institutions including JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers.

Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Indiana University and currently lives in Amsterdam.
